Venkat joined the laboratory of Dr. Elliot Chaikof in the fall of 2008 before moving on to his current position as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Before Joining Emory, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Princeton University where he worked towards the total synthesis of Exiguamine A – a potent Indoleamine Dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitor. I completed my PhD Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor David Crich at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My research interests include total synthesis of biologically active natural products, synthetic methodologies and developing new conjugation strategies to modify peptides and proteins.
